As one of the seven natural wonders of the world, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef is a must-see for any sea or even land lover. With thousands of species of coral, fish, and mammals, the Great Barrier Reef is a dream turned into reality. According to the Travel Channel, over two million people a year visit the reef for diving and exploring.
This video is spectacular to watch. For one, the visuals are amazing. I could see every seen quite clearly and make out the fine, beautiful details of all the animals living under the sea. In addition to great visuals, I liked how the reporter, Shane O., did not just sit behind the computer and Google “Australia’s Great Barrier Reef” all day. He actually strapped on a wet suit and oxygen tank and experienced the greatness of the reef himself. He even went a step further and accomplished a night dive, which seems highly dangerous but totally amazing at the same time.
One thing I would have liked to see more of in this video is interviews with the natives. There were a couple in the beginning, but I feel like it did not completely satisfy me. The reporter could have probably gotten a few wild, crazy stories from some Australians about their experiences along the reef. Nonetheless, I’m still adding Great Barrier Reef to my list.
